The Entitled Judge Kavanaugh

In the special hearings concerning the sexual assault allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, he has shown frustration, anger, and resentment.
This is understandable. Judge Kavanaugh was very close to achieving a position for which he was destined and now it is being denied to him.
Kavanaugh was born into the privileged class and has done all the right things according to that class’ unwritten rules. He went to the right Prep School, then on to the Ivy League, and began to climb the ladder of legal and judicial success. He got married and began his family. He is a staunch member of the Roman Catholic Church. And he always upholds the law as expected by Church, State, and Business.
Now a few busybodies dare to bring up some youthful peccadillos which don’t really count in his world of entitlement. After all, ‘boys will be boys.’
It is so unfair.

Obstructing the Russian Cyber Attack Investigations

All 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that the cyberattacks on our election system were perpetrated by the Russians. Attacks can only come from enemies. Therefore, the Russians are our enemies.
The Constitution says that “adhering to [the United States’] enemies, giving them aid and comfort…” is one definition of treason.
At the present time we have obstruction and interference with the investigations into the Russian cyberattacks. This aids and abets our enemies, gives comfort to them, and encourages them to do more.
The logical conclusion is that interfering with the investigations is a form of treason, even if that is not the intent of those doing the interference.

Immigration and Discrimination

Among my many ancestry groups dating back to colonial America are the Scots-Irish and Germans. They overcame disrespect and discrimination to help build our great nation.

Later, Italians, Irish, Jewish, Eastern European immigrant groups, as well as so many others, came here, overcame bias and bigotry and added so much to our national heritage.

Now we have a President who makes racist remarks about immigrants who have black or brown skin.

Those of us whose ancestors were discriminated against must refute and repudiate these prejudiced remarks. If we don’t do so, we are dishonoring our forebears, and should be disowned by our heritage. We must forever remain silent in any discussion on national pride.
