U.S. Debt Ceiling Default

Ref: Amber Phillips,  “Still no debt ceiling deal”,  May 25, 2023

Subject: U.S. Hold Off Default

The U.S. does not have to default on its debts. It can hold off indefinitely by paying no more than it receives from the states.
Looking at the Rockefeller Institute of Government Balance of Payments report, March 2023 (p. 17), we can see that the 50 states receive different amounts from the federal government compared to how much they send to Washington on a per capita basis.
Connecticut receives the smallest return from the U.S., getting $1.05 for each dollar sent to the U.S.
Kentucky receives the most from the U.S., $3.41 for every dollar they send.
Pres. Biden should immediately issue an Executive Order that each state will only receive, on a per capita basis, in ratio to what it has sent.
Connecticut will receive $.95 of each dollar they should receive.
Kentucky will receive $.29 of each dollar they would normally receive.
This will continue until the debt ceiling issue is resolved.

Resolving the 2023 Debt Ceiling impasse

The argument about the Federal Debt Ceiling is that the United States will go bankrupt if the debt ceiling is not raised.
There is an easy way around this.
Pres. Biden should issue an Executive Order that the Federal dollars sent to any State should not exceed the number of dollars the Federal Government receives from that State.
The Federal Government would decide which recipients and how much they receive within that State.
A few states, including California, would only be marginally inconvenienced because they do not have a large Balance of Payments difference.
But many states, mostly ‘red’ in politics, would be greatly inconvenienced.
For instance, in the last reporting period*, Kentucky received $3.41 for every dollar sent to the U.S. on a per capita basis.
The people and the states should be informed that full payments will be restored once the Debt Ceiling is raised.

The Speech President Biden Should Make

The Speech President Biden Should Make

Like most of you, I have been looking at the recent election results and giving them some serious thought. I noted the voting trends and the underlying forces that drive those trends.
One thing that sticks out is that we have a couple of newly emerging forces in the electorate, and they will only grow stronger with time. They will shape the future.
One of those forces is Women Voters. You may say that Women have been voting for a century.
But now Women are voting with great purpose. The attacks on their personal freedom has given them focus, a cause. They not only are demanding their rights and that everyone respect those rights, they want to clean up the old politics that played games with their rights. They want a New Politics that respects their rights, their intelligence and their future.
The other group is Young Voters.
The Young Voters do not vote in great numbers, at least not now, but those that do vote have decidedly shifted their focus. Their main concern is the future, and that means they are looking at environmental and climate issues and are demanding action. That is not to say they are not concerned about our society and how they can shape a better world. But they know that if we don’t change our ways of production and consumption, there won’t be anything left of society. They are demanding Progress.
To sum it up, what I am seeing among these two groups and those that are similarly motivated, is a demand for ‘Freedom, Equality, and Progress.’
These forces want, even, demand, a positive approach to politics with an end to negative campaigning and attack ads.
They want substantive policy and program proposals that can be negotiated with reasonable, differing proposals  to create workable solutions to the problems and challenges we all face.
These forces want Freedom and Equality for everyone, not just a select few, and not at the expense of someone else’s Freedom and Equality.

I ask the people quit paying attention to the conspiracy theories, almost all of which do not stand up to a logical or fact-based inquiry. These negative thoughts are distracting us from accomplishing the American dream - making a better world.
All of the above has led me to make a big decision.
I have decided not to run for re-election for President in 2024.
These new, vibrant forces of the future want a more dynamic figure, one not tied to the old politics.
Not that I don’t believe as they do, or don’t want to fight the good fight.
But America is about change and that must include new people to lead us into the future. This is not about age so much as it is about getting away from the old politics of division, suspicion, and fear and loathing.
I would urge other people in politics to consider making the same decision.

There is an old belief in American politics that no politician ever rules themselves out until they have lost the election because this decision makes them a ‘lame duck.’ And a Lame Duck supposedly loses all political leverage and political power.
    That’s the Old Politics.
By declaring myself out, I am now free to pursue my agenda and will not have to consider the political consequences, especially how it will affect my re-election chances.
I will be stronger than ever. We will get this country headed in the right direction while we pass the torch to the New Forces.
As for the obstructionists and naysayers - please get out of the way - we have a future to create, an American Dream to live.
In the meantime, I am still President Joe Biden.
    Let’s go!

Election Day 2022 - A New Beginning

We have had two days in this century that brought us sadness, anger, and fear - 9/11 and Jan. 6.
Finally, we have a day to celebrate - November 8.
On that Election Day, the American voting public turned its back on political extremism and the negativism that was dragging us down.
We cast our ballots for thoughtful moderation, civil discourse, and our belief in democracy.
The act of voting was a reaffirmation of our trust in our system of selecting those who will carry out the will of the people.
This is not a proposal to declare “Nov 8” as a federal holiday. It is, however, a request that we pause, think, and recommit ourselves to working together to resolve our differences. We now have a departure date to show when we turned it around and began to create a better world for ourselves and our posterity.

Trump Classified Documents at Mar-a-Lago

Trump's lawyers have lied and deceived so much about the Mar-a-Lago classified documents that they should be disbarred.
They lied to Judge Aileen Cannon, Trump's appointee, to such a degree that she should recuse herself, right after she throws the lying shysters in jail for contempt of court.
Every day more details are emerging and showing how badly the Classified documents were (mis)handled. A lot of people should go to jail for Espionage Act and other violations.
I am not exaggerating. I can only think of one instance where there was worse mishandling - and that involved an Army Lieutenant that threw classified documents into a garbage dump and got away with it because his father was a General.
What is really scary is the lack of concern, as reflected in the media. The whole country should be up in arms about these security breaches.

Bannonstein's Monster

Donald Trump was too inept and psychologically disorganized to pull off the attempted coup on     January 6, trying to establish autocratic rule over our government.
Those around Trump - Bannon, Eastman, and Flynn, to name a few - were using Trump, manipulating him as a ‘useful fool’, attempting to steal the election and then inciting the insurrection.
‘Bannonstein’s Monster’ slipped its traces and did not respond to commands or other mind-control cues at key moments on that fateful day, as the coup failed and the Monster and Controllers lost their plausible deniability for everything that happened.
We are fortunate to have survived the scheming and treachery of the Machiavellian cabal.
Even so, these ‘puppeteers of power’ should be investigated and prosecuted for the insurrection and attempted seizure of the federal government.

Women Take Action

                                                                                                                             July 20, 2022
First Lady Jill Biden
The White House
Subject: Women Take Action

Dr. Biden,

The 2022 General Election is fast approaching - 111 days away.
America is split, our national politics are lurching aimlessly, and men continue to be in charge.
It is time for Women to take charge and redirect our national focus and energy.
You and a reasonable Republican national figure, such as Sen. Susan Collins and/or Sen. Lisa Murkowski, should call for American Women to take action. Call for those women who do not normally show up for demonstrations or initiate petitions. You need regular, concerned females answering the Call to Duty.
The immediate need is to secure the election system. Poll workers and poll watchers are needed to process the balloting and vote counting and make sure the system is not corrupted. You might find that female military veterans would be good people to help in this task.
While this is going on, other Women should be out registering female voters, providing information about the issues and candidates, and making sure these voters actually vote.
Coordinating with the League of Women Voters would provide you with a readymade organizational structure, for these two actions.
Another action to take is to set up a national poll of adult females. This great mass of humanity is generally overlooked and seldom listened to. Call up the female billionaires of America and ask them to contribute.
Hire the biggest 10 polling companies and send them out to ask three basic questions:
    What do you need/want?
What can the government do for you?
What can you and the government do together?
Follow this up with an open ended comment section - let the Women finally say what they feel. Males will ignore this at their political peril.
Start with the counties that voted Obama-Trump-Biden and work from there.
